Case Studies

Police and Crime Panels  - Home Office

Dods Training led a project to develop guidance and training for 41 Police, Fire and Crime Panels across England and Wales, to improve scrutiny of Police and Crime Commissioners’ annual Crime reduction plans.

We delivered webinars to Police and Crime Panel members across the country and produced training videos and guidance to improve scrutiny and chairing skills.

"I am therefore delighted to introduce this new guidance for panels in England and Wales which has been produced by the Home Office, in conjunction with Dods Training."

The Rt Hon Kit Malthouse MP Minister of State for Crime, Policing and Probation

Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (HMPPS)

Dods Training produced a range of high-quality learning products and guidance to improve the quality of MAPPA's minutes and discussions as well as clarity around roles and responsibilities.

"We were very happy with the quality of the resources. Amanda was a pleasure to work with, we felt that she was extremely flexible and always acted upon our feedback. We are extremely proud of the end products, thank you".

Becky Canning, Joint Head of National MAPPA Team (HMPPS Lead), Organisational Design and Development, Cabinet Office

Cabinet Office

Our organisational design and development team worked with Cabinet Office to evaluate current supervision practice, provide new supervision, and recommend supervision models for the future. We worked with OD&D professionals from DWP and FCDO to test the value of different models and approaches.

“I felt the methodology and final report gave us a narrative for what support we'd offer practitioners looking to make decisions about future provision. It was a very positive step to translate the challenges of our 'real-world' scenario into the findings. A hugely enjoyable project.”

Jen Mason, Head of Organisation Development Practice, Cabinet Office
