Aim

A highly interactive day, to build your confidence and skills in writing for different audiences, to achieve the results you want first time

Objectives

You will

  • review relationships with key stakeholders, defining the purpose of writing to them
  • structure and plan written communications, to speed up the writing process and meet challenging deadlines
  • use a range of techniques to persuade and influence
  • practise tailoring for the audience, balancing the need to explain complex technical concepts with the need for plain English
  • write clear, cogent and compelling English through sophisticated application of grammar and punctuation

  • Key criteria for an effective executive summary.
  • Using annexes and presenting information using visuals

Practical work - practise drafting an executive summary in groups and presenting data using visuals
