Julian Bowrey has 30 years’ experience of policy making in central and local government, including Head of Policy and Review for a large County Council and as a Senior Civil Servant. His expertise is in integrating policy making with implementation, applying creative and strategic thinking to policy challenges and city and sub-regional governance. Since leaving the Civil Service in 2015 Julian has worked as a freelance consultant and trainer. He is also a director of Silicon Abbey, a social enterprise working with educational establishments in Hertfordshire to promote careers in the digital economy. Julian has degrees from University College, London and the Universities of Bristol and Hull. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
